Business Highlights

An understanding of the technological issues and the know-how accumulated in over 50 years experience in the stringing sector and more than 25 years working in the integrated excavation solutions sector make the Tesmec Group one of the leading worldwide players today, in terms of revenues, in the fields of design, production and marketing of integrated solutions for the stringing of high and very high voltage power lines and the design, production and marketing of high-power tracked trenchers for producing linear excavations (channels and trenches for laying cables or pipes) and bulk excavations.

In the stringing sector, the Tesmec Group boasts a stringing technology (so-called stringing under tension system) whereby the cable is stretched over the pylons without ever coming into contact with the ground. This provides benefits in terms of job quality, preservation of the cable’s integrity and the ability to work in difficult areas and locations.

The integrated solutions offered by the Group also include stringing systems for railway power lines, which allow fully automated control of the stringing operations, with high operating efficiency, installation precision and a high level of safety.

The Tesmec Group’s trenchers are machines for producing excavations using a cutting unit and are able to excavate effectively in various types of terrain, including rocky and permafrost terrains, and to operate in difficult environmental conditions such as desert and arctic zones. Alongside the high mass (more than 20 tonnes) and high-power machines (more than 200 HP), Tesmec produces a compact line (10 tonnes and 100 HP) for applications in urban areas and where there is restricted space.

The Tesmec Group also carries out complementary services such as: after-sales technical assistance, technical support on site for system start-up and synchronisation, training programmes on machine use and maintenance.

Finally, the Tesmec Group produces and markets multipurpose excavators, which are used primarily within urban areas and as a support to the trenchers. The Gallmac multipurpose machines are versatile and suitable for many types of job in the field of public works, also in urban areas with very reduced access for the construction of roads, civil engineering works in general and utilities. These machines can be used in various contexts, including excavations, lifting, pallet movement, hammering, drilling and road maintenance. To complete the range a model has also been introduced that can operate in the railway sector.
